Since the time my daughter was old enough to walk, she has enjoyed entertaining our family with her personally choreographed dance solos. For years, we kept it at that – mini dance recitals in our family room. Then, we signed her up for a one-day dance camp at the local high school. At the end of the camp, the girls performed a short dance, then several groups from local dance studios performed as well. Although all of the dancers were great, one studio really stood out – Dance Tech! I was amazed at the talent and choreography. Each dance was unique, entertaining, technically precise and very memorable. So much so that after returning home, my then 4 year-old daughter began adding some of Dance Tech’s choreography to her own dances! Realizing the impact this studio had had on her, we quickly enrolled her in a class at Dance Tech. What we expected from this was a fun class for our daughter with the opportunity to perform in an end of the year recital. What we got was so much more!
From the moment we walked in to Dance Tech Studios, we saw what made this studio so uniquely special. Not only were the dancers and instructors working hard, they were having fun doing it. Along with creating beautiful dances, they were creating beautiful friendships. We quickly realized that Dance Tech was a very special place and we knew we were fortunate to be part of it.
My daughter is now 9 years old and loves Dance Tech more than ever! Dance Tech has given her the opportunity to not only perform in an end of the year recital, but also at several competitions throughout the year. Beyond the dance classes, she has participated in acting classes and conditioning classes at Dance Tech, all which she has loved! She has learned that becoming a good dancer is not just about working hard to build your skill level, learning proper technique and remembering choreography, but about loving what you do and cherishing the relationships you build along the way.
Because of all of this and so much more, Dance Tech has truly been a gift to our daughter and our family!

I enrolled my daughter in Dance Tech Studios of Forest Lake at the age of four. Over the past eight years, I have noticed a higher level of maturity, poise, socialization skills and confidence as compared to peers the same age or even a few years older that I don't think I would have seen had she not been in dance. When I ask her what dance means to her, she replies "It's my passion". I also believe her success in academics, honors, orchestra, voice lessons and other activities have a direct relationship to her confidence gained in performing on stage for the past 8 years for Dance Tech. We both enjoy the knowledge and kindness of the teachers, and when asked are proud to announce that she dances at Dance Tech Studios in Forest Lake. It's a great place to learn, grow, mature and be the you that you want to be!
