The D.T. Story
Dance Tech made it's grand entrance in June of 1995, and has continued growing ever since. Studio owner, Robin Lind, has danced nearly all her life, receiving her dance education from several highly acclaimed studios. Believe it or not, Lind started teaching at the young age of 13! After teaching at various studios for nearly 15 years, Lind decide to take all the good things she saw in other studios and put them into her own...and Dance Tech came to be! After 5 years of experiencing what did and did not work, Lind felt completely comfortable running a studio, and in the year 2000 opened a second location in Pine City.
Lind, a resident of Forest Lake for most of her life, thought that the Forest Lake area was in need of a dance studio with quality instruction. When Lind first opened, she did all of the instructing herself, but due to rapid growth, she found she could not do everything all on her own and hired two additional instructors. Dance Tech now has 12 instructors on staff. Several are highly sought after dancers and choreographers that have chosen to teach at Dance Tech because they love the atmosphere, and strongly believe in our studio's philosophy.
Dance Tech has received several achievement awards, including the prestigious "Studio of Excellence" award and we are also highly acknowledged by the Better Business Bureau. Our most exciting news...In the spring of 2007 Dance Tech was selected as one of the top 50 studios in the country, and in the summer of 2011, Lind was inducted into the Forest Lake High School Hall of Fame, for her contribution to the community and charitable organizations!
