Our staff at Dance Tech is currently made up of 15 incredible individuals who are loving, caring and have a passion for
the art of dance, for the health and well being of their students, and a love of children! The majority of our instructors are current/former professional dancers or past students who have grown up in
the studio and have been mentored by the owner.
All of our instructors have a desire to pass along their knowledge and passion for dance. Although our instructors have training in nearly all areas of dance, many of them specialize in a particular area. Each comes complete with their own knowledge and personality, ready to suit the needs of each individual student.
No matter who the instructor is, we know you will love them!

Robin has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching for more than 20. She received her training in her younger years through several highly acclaimed dance instituitions and still continues her training today in both dance and business with workshops and classes across the country. Robin believes that you cannot really continue to teach if you do not continue to learn. Being a "big kid" herself, you can only guess how kids love her fun, bubbly, energetic personality! Lind has taken classes and danced with many famous dancers and choreographers throughout her career.. Her students and choreography have received numerous top honors over the years. Lind has also received the national "Studio of Excellence" award five years in a row., and her studio was recently voted one of the top studios in the country! Although she is known for her unique and funky style, she enjoys the traditional dance styles as well. Lind works primarily with the competitive groups but tries to make room in her schedule to teach at least one of each of the recreational classes.
Robin Lind- Owner/Instructor/Choreographer
Mykala Micek-Artistic Director/Instructor/Choreographer
A Brand new bride! Mykala is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, with a degree in English-Writing, and is currently working on her masters in Human Developement. Mykala has been dancing for 20 years, teaching for 8, and was basically raised in the studio. She knows the ins & outs of studio business and teaching as she has learned it first hand being the owner's daughter. She has had intense training in a wide variety of dance styles. She has taken many workshops, and has trained with some of the country's top instructors/dancers, including Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Paula Abdul, & Cris Judd to name a few. In her dancing years she won many national dance championships. Her students now continue with the same successes. Mykala's routines and students have won many top honors at several of this country's top competitions. Besides having incredible dance knowledge, she absolutely loves kids and they love her!! Mykala continues her dance education by taking classes and workshops around the country. Mykala is also an instructor for Out On A Limb Dance Company, and teaches at several workshops and also does choreography for other studios throughout the country.. She looks forward to seeing your child in class!!


Kourtni Lind-Guest Instructor/Choreographer
"So You Think You Can Dance" Season 4 contestant!
Being a very accomplished dancer and national champion Kourtni has become a highly sought after instructor. Kourtni has danced for 16 years and has trained with many of the nations top instructors.
She has performed with the Moscow Ballet Company, appeared in music videos, was called to NYC to assist with auditions for "A Chorus Line", and currently teaches master classes and choreography across the country. Kourtni, also being the studio owners daughter, has witnessed year after year what works successfully when teaching children. Her accomplishments in her final year of competing include, 2007 National Dancer of the Year, 2007 National Miss Masquerade, & 2007 Miss International Dance, Her students and choreography have won many top awards both at regional and national levels. Kourtni has been teaching for 5 years, her incredible talent & bubbly personality will draw you in the moment you meet her! Although Kourtni currently resides in L.A. ,she remains on staff as a choreographer and guest instructor.
Amber Rosah-Keeley- Director of Ballet
To know her is to love her! Amber joined the Dance Tech in 2003, and is loved by all. You cannot help but love this little bundle of joy! Her talent and knowledge in the area of ballet are second to none! She has an amazing way of getting through to her students, and instills a deep passion for ballet in her everyone she teaches. Amber has been teaching and doing choreography in the Twin Cities since 1993. Her performing career goes back long before that and includes local and national dance companies such as Pacific Northwest Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theatre, and more. Amber is also currently the director of the Training Program at Out On A Limb Dance Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. She teaches ballet and lyrical for OOAL and also dances principal roles for their dance company. Her Motto, "Love yourself. You can be a talented and happy dancer at the same time." Amber will continue instructing 2 days this year and we couldn't be happier about that!
Jenni Groetsch-Instructor Substitute
Jenni is a new mommy! Jenni spent most of her younger years as a student at Dance Tech. She has earned numerous regional and national awards in her ten years of competitive dancing. Jenni has been dancing for 15 years, she has taught at other studios in the Metro area and started in 2003 as an instructor at Dance Tech. She has training in all the general areas of dance for beginner- advanced students. Her warm & bubbly personality, as well as her amazing organizational skills & super friendly personality has made Jenni one of the favorites at Dance Tech. Jenni loves working with the younger dancers, but has a blast with all ages! In her first year of teaching at Dance Tech, Jenni received the "Employee of the Year" award, that shows you just how incredible she is! This year Jenni is taking some time off, as she is entering a new phase of her life....becoming a wife! This year she will be filling in when we need her! We hope that Jenni will return in the future to our Dance Tech Staff. We will miss her!
Jennifer Groshens- Instructor
Jennifer has been an instructor at Dance Tech for over 10 years. She teaches at our Pine City studio. Jennifer has been dancing most of her life, and her warm, sweet, gentle, yet energetic personality gives her a very special way with kids. Being a mom of 3 kids she definitely knows the trials and tribulations of childhood. She is well trained in all the basic areas of dance (Ballet, Tap, & Jazz), and continues to further her education with classes, and workshops. I know the minute you and your child meet Jennifer, you will love her! This year Jennifer will be taking on the task of working with our performance groups at our Pine City location. She is very excited about this opportunity and we know she will do an incredible job!!
Jacqueline Kling-Assistant Creative Director/Instructor
A seasoned veteran of Dance Tech, Jacqueline has danced with us since the day we opened in 1995! She was on our top competition group for many years and won many national awards and scholarships. Although her competition dancing came to an end after graduating in 2006, her love of dance certainly did not! Jacqueline is an incredible dancer with an impressive amount of knowledge in many areas of dance. She is an extremely responsible and organized individual. She is one of our most requested instructors! Jacqueline attends the University of St. Thomas, majoring in entrepreneurship and is currently a member of their national championship dance team. She was also captain of her high school dance team. Jacquline also attends Macalester College where she is minoring in dance. Jacqueline will be working with our competitive students this year. She will be teaming up with Mykala, Robin and Amber to insure that our competition groups receive the best dance education possible. We know you will love and adore her!!

Gretel Trampe- Instructor Substitute
Lauren is a huge favorite among the young ones! However, the teens love her too! This will be her third year of teaching at our Forest Lake location, and this year she will be our director of competition at our Pine City location. Lauren has been dancing most of her life, with her last 6 years at Dance Tech. She competed with our Ultimate Diamond group, and was a national dance champion. Lauren has been trained in nearly every genre of dance. We guarantee you will LOVE and adore her incredible personality, her kind spirit, and her love of dance and children. Lauren is currently pursueing her Associate In Arts degree. We are so excited to have Lauren a part of the Dance Tech Staff!
Lauren Kubitschek-Instructor

Tracy has been dancing for over 25 years and teaching for 20 years. She received her B.A. in Fine Arts/Dance from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, MN. During college, she studied all styles of dance, choreographed musicals, taught after school and summer youth program dance classes and performed, performed, performed. After graduation, Tracy landed a spot with the Nancy Hauser Dance Company in Minneapolis as an apprentice. The next stop for Tracy was at a ballroom studio in the Twin Cities. During her seven years there, Tracy competed and performed professionally as well as with her students. She also trained staff and managed the studio. She has trained with pioneers of Modern dance Nancy Hauser and Merce Cunningham and champion ballroom dancers Jean-Marc Genereaux, Timothy and Michelle Mason and Bill Davies among others. Tracy's classes were a huge success last year and we are so glad to have her back again! Give her classes a try...you will LOVE them!

Tracy Heinze- Ballroom Instructor
Rebekah has basically been a part of Dance Tech since the day it opened in 1995. Rebekah has been dancing nearly her entire life. She has won numerous national awards, and has been a part of some of our very top competitive groups. Rebekah is well trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap. Rebekah recently graduated college and will be joining the teaching staff at Dance Tech. We are thrilled to have her back with her Dance Tech family. Rebekah will be teaching at our Pine City location. During her high school and college years Rebekah was a part of The St. Scholastica dance team, and was captain of her high school cheerleading squad. We know that you will love her kind and gentle spirit, as well as appreciate her love and passion for the art of dance.
Megan is currently attending the University of Minnesota, majoring in Biology. Her plans after graduation are to attend medical school and eventually become an oncologist. This will be Megan's 3rd year teaching at Dance Tech. Megan has danced much of her life, and was a part of our Ultimate Diamonds group when she was younger, as well as a member of our ballet company in her last year of dance. Her groups and solos won many high point awards over the years, including national dance champions! Upon meeting Megan, you will find her to be extremely friendly, and very responsible and organized! She has an extentsive knowledge of dance and has a great way of communicating and teaching. Your child will love her, and so will you! She's fabulous!
Tina Anderson- Advanced Ballet Instructor
Tina Anderson joined the Dance Tech staff in 2009. We are so thrilled to have her a part of the DT staff!
Tina has an incredible knowledge of ballet and of the body and how each and every muscle and bone works for each dance move or position. Tina's 23 year performing career included principle and soloist work with Minnesota Dance Theatre, Ballet MN, Ballet Arts MN, Ballet of the Dolls, Savannah Ballet, The Contemporary Ballet Company, and Pennsylvania Ballet. She holds her BS from Radford University in Virginia. Tina is a highly sought after instructor and has taught Ballet classes for Ballet Arts MN, Ballet MN, the Classical Ballet Academy, the Chinese Dance Theater and is currently teaching at the University of MN, Metro Dance Center, and Out on a Limb. Her current scholarly research is in Mind-Body Centering where she is taking graduate classes at the U of M. Once you have taken class with Tina, we know you will immediately come to love and appreciate all that she has to offer!


Angel Obert- Kettle Bell Instructor and health/wellness coach
Angel Obert is a single Mother of two teenage daughters, experienced and now resigned Firefighter/EMT; Graduate of St Mary's University BS Degree Program; Certified Hanzo Master Teacher - Physical, Emotional, Spiritual; Owner of Angel's ACME Bodyshop and Lifestyle Solutions and Teacher/Coach for personal growth.
Angel has made a difference in so many people's lives, and we have seem changes in our dancers core strength, as well as an increase in their body awareness since they have been working with Angel. Angel is also a fabulous "teamwork" coach! We love having her on staff!

Bridget Burke started dancing at the age of three, and started her training at Dance Tech when she was 12 years old.. She is highly trained in the areas of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, and various other styles. Bridget has trained with some of the nations top instructors, and specializes in Hip Hop. She is known as one of the Minnesota's most incredible "B Girls"! She has been the guest performer at several events and has performed at the O'shaugnessy, Fitzgerald, and the State Theater, as well as many others. One of the highlights of Bridget's dance career thus far, was when she was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show as one of "Old Navy Dance Cam" contest winners. Bridget has been a part of some of Dance Tech's most advanced groups, and has received numerous high point awards, judges choice awards and scholarships for her unique style in hip-hop. Although she is enjoys teaching all genres of dance, her favortie is definitely hip hop! She recently graduated from the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and is planning on going to school for massage therapy. Bridget loves to teach, and perform, and hopes to one day continue her dance career in L.A.
